12 Depressing Alternate Endings That Were Way Better Than The Originals
1. Paranormal Activity
Before the gimmick over-ruled all of the traditional technical aspects, and the franchise was reduced to a series of cheap jump-scares and misdirection tactics, Paranormal Activity actually wasn't all that terrible. It plugged into the needs of the market well, offering a horror fanbase cruelly robbed of anything but scraps something a bit more substantial, and it was deemed a run-away success because it cost so little.
Basically, the studio loved it. But it wasn't always so Paramount-friendly: originally, the film came with a climactic punch that was far more macabre than the one we all got to see.
