12 Die Hard Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

11. Len Wiseman Cameos In The Fourth Film

Die Hard Easter Eggs
20th Century Fox

Director Len Wiseman is all over Die Hard 4.0 (or Live Free Or Die Hard, as it was less embarrassingly titled everywhere except the UK). The man himself provided a killer Bruce Willis impression in ADR, dubbing over an existing line during the helicopter-killing scene. Wiseman's voice is the one saying “You think throwing a car is gonna stop me, huh?”

The director also has an actual appearance in the film, perhaps riffing on Alfred Hitchock's infamous cameos in every film he helmed. Although Die Hard 4.0 had a lot more explosions. The climax of the fourth film has John McClane, now essentially a superhero, taking down a bunch of military jets above a freeway.

Len Wiseman appears briefly on-screen as the pilot of one of those jets, although you can't really make out his face beneath his helmet and goggles. The director also snuck in an  appearance for his wife, Underworld star Kate Beckinsale, with an image of the actress flashing up for one frame during the film's opening credits.
