12 Dumbest Decisions In Harry Potter Movies
3. When Harry And Ron Literally Stole A Car
Harry had a bit of a thing about violating Ministry laws as a youngster and almost got himself expelled more than once, which would have been disastrous for just about everyone.
The most criminal thing he was involved in, though, wasn't really his idea. Inspired by his twin brothers (who somehow are completely unpunished for their car theft), Ron convinces Harry that they have to steal his father's Ford Anglia to get to Hogwarts. Which is the most ludicrous option out of all the available ones that he fails to even consider.
Why not just wait? Someone would have almost immediately noticed their absence, or they could have sent an owl to explain. Anything is better than stealing a car and flying it hundreds of miles to school, while dodging death at every turn.
