12 Dumbest Movie Plot Twists Of 2019

11. David Dunn Gets Drowned...In A Puddle...By A Random Goon - Glass

While it wasn't an inherently bad idea that M. Night Shyamalan's low-key superhero movie Glass would end with the death of hero David Dunn (Bruce Willis), surely nobody expected his demise to be quite so unremarkable.

As daft as the reveal of a secret superhero-killing society spearheaded by Dr. Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson) was, that seemed totally logical compared to the shock twist that David is killed by being downed in a small puddle...by one of Staple's random soldier goons.

While it's clear that Shyamalan wanted to intentionally give Dunn a mundane death as a rebuke to the dramatic sacrifices seen in superhero movies, it was ultimately one step too far in the way of subversion.

Fans were left wildly dissatisfied at how dismissively Dunn was killed, and it was yet another case of Shyamalan trying to be a little too clever for his own good.
