12 Embarrassing Early Film Roles Actors Need You To Forget

10. Elijah Wood - Back To The Future II

zidz.comUniversalNow this is a cameo (a retro-active cameo? Is that a thing? For the purposes of this article, yes.) Now this is a cameo that most modern film watchers are extremely familiar with. The film in question is a true classic in every sense of the word, fielding Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd in the title roles, and Crispin Glover making an early appearance in a supporting role. Of course it's Back To The Future II, the only film in the trilogy to actually go back to the future (tenses in time travel can get very confusing, we forgive them.) There, beside the stars and stealing the show in the only scene he appears in is a very, very young Elijah Wood as "Video Game Boy #1" - probably his proudest role. Before he spent three in-film years and a decade of real life years as a short person with a penchant for pilfered jewellery, as "Unnamed Hobbit #1" (neƩ Frodo), Elijah Wood appeared in a number of roles as a boy and teenager until finally being catapulted into the real spotlight in Peter Jackson's epic trilogy The Lord Of The Rings. Back To The Future II just happens to be the other classic everyone has seen that he appears in, and unfortunately his part was much less impressive. Cool hat though.
