12 Fearsome Movie Villains Who Didn't Actually Kill Anyone

7. Biff Tannen - Back To The Future Trilogy

One of the greatest trilogies ever produced managed to produce one of the most fearsome villains in film history. Biff Tannen just manages to edge out Mean Girls' Regina George for the most fearsome high school bully threat in films. While there is some hints that Regina is a product of a poor family dynamic and that some good, as well as some vulnerabilities, lay beneath, there are no obvious redeeming characteristics for Biff.

The fact that Biff gives us many a great comic moment, mainly from ending up in various piles of manure, doesn't take away from his ominous presence. Standing at 189cm, actor Thomas Francis Wilson Jr. brought a real physical presence to Biff, bringing great comic timing but also a great sense of threat to his pantomime villain.

His iconic 'are you chicken?' catchphrase may be a little cheesy, but it was his ability to tower over the respective McFlys that made him truly fearsome. His wrap sheet of evil acts is very high for a comedy trilogy, including attempted rape, attempted hanging and a series of fighting misdemeanours.

Biff is actually the one character who is perhaps the luckiest to make this list, as he kind of does kill George McFly, Marty's Dad in the second entry in the franchise. As this event wasn't seen on screen and was effectively an 'alternate' version of Biff caused by various meddling in events of the past, we are happy to give the character a pass from actually killing someone.
