12 Film Cameos That Were Cut From Theatrical Release

8. Eugene Levy €“ Ghostbusters 2

Today Eugene Levy is mostly recognised as the brilliantly awkward father to Jim in the American Pie series. But back in 1989, Levy had a brief cameo that was sadly cut in the sequel to the 1984 film Ghostbusters, starring Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd. In the film, Levy€™s role was that of a man named Sherman Tully, who was the cousin of the bumbling Louis, played by Rick Moranis. In his scene, he appears alongside Moranis as he recounts to the Ghostbusters the tale of his dead grandfather appearing at the foot of his bed. Ignoring him, the Ghostbusters leap into the Ecto-1A and leave Levy there to finish his story. Sadly, due to it being inconsequential to the plot, the scene was cut from the theatrical release.
