10. Shattered Glass (Steve & Chuck)
Steve and Chuck both have so many great moments in Shattered Glass. First and foremost, every scene advances the narrative, and Hayden Christensen and Peter Sarsgaard both nail it, disappearing completely like absolute pros into their roles. The awkwardness of Steve's character as a self-doubting journalist (and then some!) thickly permeates the atmosphere, and every scene with him truly is a pitch to obtain one thing or another. Sarsgaard plays Chuck with just as much nuance, only it's about silent, down-to-earth, honest struggle in the politics of his job. And when these two worlds collide, they might as well be speaking different languages, yet one of them was pretending all along as if it were otherwise. The two actors truly connect their Bizarro-chemistry, the story, and the roles every single character plays in it.
