12 Horrifyingly Dark Tales Behind Your Favourite Disney Movies

If there is one thing that we have learnt from watching Disney movies it is to keep an eye on sisters, especially step-sisters.

In the Disney film we see Cinderella's ugly step-sisters try desperately to squeeze their big feet into Cinderella's tiny glass slipper. However, when the Brother's Grimm wrote down their version of the tale, the sisters were much more desperate to fit into the shoe.

Attempting to make the slipper fit one sister cuts off her toe and the other her heel. Alerted to the blood by heavenly doves, the Prince realising their mutilation, continues his search and eventually finds Aschenputtel (Cinderella) and the pair marry.

The two step-sisters are given the role as bridesmaids and at the wedding have their eyes pecked out by the doves.

What is is with all this violence at weddings?!
