12 Horror Movie Sets That Were Definitely Cursed
10. The Exorcism Of Emily Rose
Based on the real-life exorcism and
subsequent death of a young German woman named Annaliese Michel in the
mid-1970s, The Exorcism of Emily Rose stars Dexter actress Jennifer Carpenter
as the titular teenage girl who appears to be suffering either from epilepsy or
demonic possession.
Compared to some of the films coming up, the set of The Exorcism of Emily Rose was a relatively tame affair when it came to devils, demons and ghosts trying to mess up the production. Evidently, Satan himself must’ve deemed the movie small fry.
However, Carpenter did experience a few weird things concerning her stereo which would apparently switch itself on randomly as the actress was trying to get to sleep. On one occasion, the stereo almost scared Carpenter sh*tless when it suddenly switched on and started blaring Pearl Jam’s classic song Alive.
Kind of ironic considering her character didn’t make it out of the movie alive. Perhaps the production was haunted by disgruntled dead fan of grunge rock?
