12 Huge Questions For The Future Of The MCU

4. When (And How) Will The X-Men And Fantastic Four Join?

Now that Disney completed its purchase of Fox, the X-Men and Fantastic Four are finally back with Marvel. However, we know they won’t be entering the MCU anytime soon, so when will they finally show up?

More importantly, how will the X-Men specifically be introduced into the MCU? Have mutants been roaming around the MCU the entire time and we just didn’t know it? Or could they have possibly formed inadvertently by the infinity stones? The latter is a stretch, especially now that the Infinity Saga is over, but hey, it could happen.

And what about Deadpool?

Answer: There’s no telling exactly when or how the X-Men and Fantastic Four will show up, so all we can do is speculate and wait. With X-Men: Dark Phoenix coming out soon - which will presumably be the final Fox X-Men film - Marvel may be waiting to distance the new X-Men from that long-running franchise. Same with the Fantastic Four, although does anyone even remember the disastrous 2015 reboot?

As for Deadpool, given the character’s abiltity to break the fourth wall, Ryan Reynolds’ version can find a way to just go along with it. But that’s assuming we even see Deadpool at all. The character doesn’t exactly fit with Disney’s brand after all. Then again, maybe the MCU could go out of its comfort zone for an R-rated Deadpool movie. Stranger things have happened.
