12 Incredibly Successful Movies (That Nobody Likes)

5. Suicide Squad

Alice In Wonderland
Warner Bros.

Gross: $746,846,894

With Batman Vs. Superman, at the very least it was expected to be bad. Suicide Squad had great trailers, a fantastic premise, a killer cast and it was the first super-villain team-up movie, so what could possibly go wrong?

Well, pretty much everything.

Not only is this an atrociously directed film with an absolute stinker of a script, but it doesn't live up to any of its potential USPs. The Joker is barely in it, the super-villains never feel particularly villainous, it's nowhere near as fun or witty as the trailers made it seem and, perhaps worst of all, it's not a subversive or different comic book movie. It's just another ultra-generic film with yet another beam in the sky finale which also revolves around one of the worst villains in superhero movie history.

The performances from most of the cast, especially Viola Davis, Margot Robbie and Will Smith, are surprisingly strong but other than that this is a completely incompetent film that even DC fans hated.
