12 Marvel Movies You Didn't Know Were Secretly Connected
1. Stan Lee Cameos – Various
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) revealed that Stan Lee portrayed the same character throughout the MCU as the Watchers' informant. He has operated on multiple planets including Earth, Xandar and Sakaar from 1943 up until 2018.
However, Stan Lee has appeared in other Marvel films, from the TV movie the Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989) to Into the Spider-Verse (2018). In total, Marvel's co-creator has appeared in a total of 60 Marvel movies and TV series.
In the comics, the Watchers have been known to watch multiple universes, so it isn't outside the realm of possibility that Stan Lee's informant would visit other universes to provide more information for the Watchers. Therefore, Stan Lee's previous cameos could be considered canon to the MCU multiverse.
In addition to Lee's cameos in films like Hulk (2003), both Mark Webb Spider-Man films and Big Hero 6, Stan has appeared in many non-Marvel films. From Kevin Smith's Mallrats to Kick-Ass and even Teen Titans Go! to the Movies. In that way, Stan Lee's cameos would connect the MCU to nearly all other prior Marvel films AND the Teen Titans universe, plus the View Askewniverse.
That's a lot of universes!
