6. The Hulk
After taking a quinjet and leaving the Avengers behind without so much as a goodbye, neither Bruce Banner nor the Hulk were seen for two years. The huge green rage monster wouldn't turn up until Thor: Ragnarok where it was revealed he'd been living on Sakaar for two Earth years, and who knows how many Sakaarian years.
With so long between being seen, Marvel Studios could have taken any number of directions with the Hulk's appearance, and though ultimately what we got was not so different from what we were used to, it could have been a lot different.
The design team played around with a bunch of potential hair styles for the strongest Avenger, presumably to be kept up by Stan Lee's hilarious character in the movie. We could have had buzz cut Hulk, bearded Hulk, or even a Hulk that vaguely resembled John Wick with long hair and some glorious facial hair.
Nothing would have driven home that Hulk was now his own person by having him actually care about, and put time and effort into his appearance.
