When Iron Man debuted in 2008, we could never have fathomed watching Tony Stark fighting alongside a wise-cracking raccoon and a talking tree one decade later.

It may sound ridiculous on paper but the MCU thrives when it embraces the weird, which is why entries like Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor: Ragnarok are considered among the best entries in the franchise.

So, when it was announced that the Kree's leader, Supremor the Supreme Intelligence, would make his live-action debut in Captain Marvel, fans were excited. Considering he's a gigantic, multi-eyed, green, tentacled head, it seemed like Supremor would be the wackiest character yet in the MCU.

Despite the fact Supremor was meant to resemble his comic counterpart, it was ultimately decided to make the character look like a humanoid. Although you can understand why the directors thought a giant octopus head might scare off viewers, Marvel's track record has proven that viewers want the MCU to incorporate the zaniness of the comics as often as possible. But because the directors didn't do that, Supremor came across as trite, mundane, and worst of all, forgettable.
