12 Most Deadly Spells In The Harry Potter Universe
9. Expulso/Bombarda Maxima
These spells really ought to be grouped together, because they effectively do the same thing and both are variations of exploding or blasting curses. And while the most memorable example of either of them being used comes when Dolores Umbridge explodes a hole in the Room Of Requirement to break up the DA's secret training sessions.
That's a room magically conceived not to be found or penetrated being blasted open - this is no mere magician's trick. And think of what such force could do to a body - as Harry almost finds out in the cafe in the Deathly Hallows. He dodges the curse, but a table behind him explodes and the force knocks him off his feet into a wall. Had it hit him - or anyone - it would have exploded him, which last I checked, was often fatal.
Quite how they don't qualify as Unforgivable - when used in the right context - is anyone's guess, frankly.
