The third instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's flagship series is also only official Marvel Christmas movie to date; no great shocker considering it's the work of Shane Black, who's made it a career motif to set his movies in the holiday season, first as screenwriter (Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout, The Long Kiss Goodnight) then as director (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys).

It's only fitting, then, that Black take one of the signature moments of any Iron Man movie - the suiting up test sequence in Tony Stark's workshop - and give it a uniquely festive twist.

Trying out his Mark #42 armour, designed to fly onto his body in segments, a wired-up Tony opts to run this experiment to the sound of a very funky rendition of Jingle Bells, which gets our hero's toes tapping and hips swirling in time with the beats - although the suit test doesn't go quite so smoothly as hoped.

We wait with bated breath to see if Shane Black's next movie, summer 2018's The Predator, will also have a Christmas setting.
