10. Disney-Owned Critics Killed Batman v Superman (And Suicide Squad)

Verdict: Bullsh*t.

According to popular fanboy ire in the wake of the critical mauling of both Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, Marvel-financed critics flooded the web - and specifically Rotten Tomatoes - with poor reviews in order to kill the hype around the movies, stopping them hitting the delicious $1bn box office take.

It's very much a case of raging against the dying of the light, as the idea that anyone could coordinate a pay-off on that scale - with a load of opinionated journalists who would love nothing more than a story as juicy as bribery and intrigue - is just ludicrous.

At least, that's what it says in this email I have from Marvel that I'm not allowed to admit they paid me, anyway.
