There really couldn't be any other film to top the list, the greatest Star Wars movie ever to be created that is perfect in nearly every way. From its spectacular set pieces, brilliant comedy, epic climax and the iconic 'Yub-Nub' song which was bizarrely written out of 'updated' versions, it is hard to figure out why so many Star Wars fans openly despise this film.

As explained by the extremely wise Barney Stinson in Season 7 of How I Met Your Mother, one's appreciation of this classic film all depends on what age you viewed the film. Those who were a kid when watching the movie hold the product in the high regard it deserves, where as those who were adults when they watched it just can't get past the Ewoks' central role.

Billy Dee Williams is brilliant as Lando, keeping us gripped to the one section of the movie that could have become insignificant, as the rebel ships do their best not to be blown out of the sky by the new and improved Death Star. Mark Hamill is the real star though, simply extraordinary in displaying Luke's final journey to be a fully fledged Jedi.

The moment when Luke loses control and nearly kills his father, before throwing his weapon aside and declaring that he "will never turn to the dark side", is one of the greatest pieces of acting you'll ever witness.
