The on-set mayhem that occurred on the set of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? have since become the stuff of legend. The reason for this stems from the highly-publicised feud between legendary actors Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, who infamously detested one another (a point which oddly contributes to the film's overall greatness, because this is Hollywood).

As a bi-product of their mutual contempt, the pair would often devise new and interesting ways to make life more difficult for each another.
