2. Mark Millar Says Captain America: Civil War IS True To The Source
Haven't we all been encouraged to put aside the Civil War source as merely a symbolic starting point, or a rough model for the film adaptation? It seems that's been a ruse all along, as Mark Millar - the comic's writer - has suggested that the two are actually a lot more similar than initially suspected. When asked how much had been changed, Millar offered a surprising answer:
"No, its much the same. Theyve added characters they have the rights to as some of their characters are scattered around different studios, but the main players and their chief lieutenants in this thing are all the same."
Does that mean we'll actually see Spider-Man unmasked? Or a version of Goliath's death? It's basically a major game-changer. There's also been news that Civil War is currently reshooting, but that reactions to the film so far have been stellar. So that's very good news. Source.
