12 Movie Spoilers We Didn’t Know Last Week (31st Jan)

11. Star Wars And The MCU Will Go On FOREVER

Did anyone really think that Star Wars was going to simply cease to exist after Disney release Episode IX? Of course it wasn't: Disney didn't invest all that money to get their hands on a finite resource, and the model for Anthology movies and spin-offs sets a precedent for the potential for even more Expanded Universe stories. This week, Bob Iger confirmed that there will be more:
"There are five Star Wars films - four more with Episode VII: The Force Awakens - that are in varying stages of development and production. There will be more after that, I don't know how many, I don't know how often."
He also echoed Kevin Feige's sentiment that the MCU could go on forever, thanks to the thousands and thousands of stories available. Just as long as they don't make a Howard The Duck stand-alone, eh? Source.
