With all eyes turned towards the Super Bowl and its slew of exciting new trailers, it seems the world of movie news and spoilers has been on something of a go slow. There's been very little teased about Star Wars, the MCU is mostly still in the same shape as it was last week and nobody is trying to make any more childhood killing remakes. Yet. Obviously the silence on the LucasFilm and Marvel front have inspired the assumption that something BIG is just about to be unveiled, but it might genuinely just be that the graveyard slot for movies has lived up to its billing a little more this week. Even with few massive stories sending the Ace Scoopers into a frenzy, there have still been some big revelations for the near future of Hollywood and its small screen cousins, with more Deadpool, more Batman V Superman, more Suicide Squad and more... erm... MacGyver. Imagine that. This is the week in movie spoilers...
12. There Might Be A Deadpool V Wolverine Movie
Obviously we've already seen it before, thanks to the abysmal X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but there's no arguing with the fact that there's still significant unfinished business between Deadpool and Wolverine. And with the new movie hopefully giving Deadpool the shot in the arm he needs to kick off a franchise, we may just get to see the two mostly invincible anti-heroes throwing down. At least, Deadpool star TJ Miller seems to think so:
"I know it happens, kind of, in the comics, but it would be interesting to see what it is. But I do believe in the future there will be a movie called 'Deadpool vs. Wolverine.'"
Ryan Reynolds didn't seem quite so convinced, calling it "very ambitious", but isn't that where Fox should be aiming for Deadpool? Presumably they'll have to recast Wolverine with Hugh Jackman on his way out, but it still needs to happen. Source.
