12 Movie Spoilers We Didn’t Know Last Week (Feb 21)

Star Lord's daddy issues might have a solution...

This past week saw a ton of huge stories break in regard to some of the biggest movies in 2016 and beyond. There's a transfixing slip of the tongue that possibly changes everything we thought we knew about an upcoming superhero flick, the continued fallout of Deadpool's stratospheric success, unexpected sequel announcements, and some hugely promising casting reveals. The upcoming Oscars may be keeping everyone talking this week (#OscarForLeo), but these news stories have rustled up a furore all of their own. It's a damn fine time to be a comic book fan, and if you're sick of the dreaded PG-13 rating ruining everything, Hollywood just might be turning a corner on that mindset, too. Here are 12 movie spoilers we didn't know last week...

12. The Hulk May Be In Captain America: Civil War After All

Anthony Mackie was being interviewed by BBC Radio 1 this past week to promote his new movie Triple 9, and almost inevitably, the discussion leaned towards the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. Beyond praising the movie as the MCU's best one yet, he added, "It's more of an acting movie than an action movie, I feel like the story is very concise and interesting, and you get to see Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans and Scarlett Johannson and Mark Ruffalo and everybody just do really, really good acting." That's right, Mackie said Mark Ruffalo. Prior reports suggested that, after his disappearing act in Age of Ultron, the big green dude probably wouldn't be resurfacing until Thor: Ragnarok late next year, but this seems to fly in the face of that. While it's possible that either only Bruce Banner will appear in Civil War or perhaps this was merely a mistaken comment on Mackie's part, it certainly has us curious about how The Hulk could slot into the movie.
