It really was a stroke of genius casting Boston Legal star James Spader as Ultron in the Avengers sequel, Age of Ultron. Director Joss Whedon has openly stated that Spader was his "first and only choice" for the role of the robotic villain, citing the reasons that he has a "hypnotic voice that can be eerily calm and compelling" while also being very human and humorous. Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige elaborated by saying "We'll be capturing his face and his body to create a whole performance. We did not hire James Spader to do a robot voice." Spader is very enigmatic and can be quite effortlessly sinister and he is set to bring Ultron to life in a way very few actors could. Be very excited, because he could be as popular as Tom Hiddleston's Loki - you only have to listen to him speaking in the Age of Ultron trailer to realise how perfect a casting choice he is.
