12 Questions About Harry Potter Movies That Keep You Up At Night
6. How Did Hagrid's Parents... You Know?
The magical creatures of the wizarding world come in all shapes and sizes. From the ghostly Thestrals, to Hippogriffs and even Dragons, there are dozens of fantastic beasts you wouldn't ever see in the muggle world. Then there are the Giants, huge hulking creatures several times bigger than any regular sized human.
Full giants themselves are rare in the Harry Potter movies, however there is of course Hagrid. The Hogwarts keeper of the keys is the son of a giantess mother and a regular father, making him only a half giant. Of course the story never delves into the relationship between his parents, but there is one big underlying question that is impossible to ignore.
Just how exactly was Rubeus Hagrid conceived? Is such an act between a giant and a human even possible? Judging by the size of Grawp, Hagrid's brother, we can take an educated guess as to how much bigger his mother would have been than his father.
It's a question that has never, and won't ever be answered, and that's probably a good thing.
