12 Reasons Justice League Should Follow Up Man Of Steel

8. Government Mistrust

Wonder.Woman Man of Steel deals with the government's mistrust of Superman even though he says, "he's here to help but on his own terms." Even after he saves the day, Superman needs General Swanwick's help in convincing Washington that he isn't a threat. Since the discovery of Superman, if super-human vigilante activity were on the rise; the government would not be entirely wrong to fear that they would unite. This is a perfect introduction for Col. Steve Trevor a liaison between the government and another red, white, and blue superhero or should we say super heroin... Wonder Woman. This would provide a deeper look into the political side of how the government would deal with the existence of super powered beings, and if they should be allowed to intervene even when the government isn€™t equipped to handle the situation. Especially if it could result in total devastation; at which point General Swanwick and Major Carrie Farris (Green Lantern Easter egg) from Man of steel could be brought in to hash out the details with Colonel Trevor as supports for the Justice League. This is also a perfect place to address Batman's concerns, and why he looks at his teammates with a crooked eye. They are the most powerful force for good, but there needs to be a check and balance system in place should they ever use their powers for evil. This could be a reference to the Justice League of America.
