12 Scariest Horror Movie Villains

6. Art The Clown - All Hallows Eve

Terrifier Art the Clown
Dread Central

Appearing first in All Hallows Eve in 2013 before returning in something of a sequel with Terrifier, Art the Clown is a recurring nightmare for anyone unfortunate enough to cross paths with him on Halloween night. Whilst the films themselves are pretty poor horror movies, Art's original design is horrifying - playing on the scary clown trope in a simplistic, yet deeply affecting way.

In All Hallows Eve, the anthology style of the film slowly devolves his appearance into something more and more deranged, emphasising his inhuman features and decaying teeth with each murder played out on screen. And, as he's dressed only in black and white, his penchant for dismemberment means that blood is all the more vibrant (and unsettling) when he ends up covered in it. Which is more often than not unsurprisingly.
