11. Why Didn't Some Jedi Disappear When They Died?

Conspiracy theorists would have you believe that Kylo Ren only disappeared at the end of Rise Of Skywalker because of a last minute edit that required him to vanish for finality, but there's precedent out there to explain the disappearance too. Because Jedi famously fade when they die. Obi-Wan did. Luke Skywalker did. Yoda did. Leia did. And now Kylo.

But then, again, Qui-Gon Jinn didn't vanish and neither did Anakin Skywalker. Perhaps the latter forfeited his right by falling too far to the Dark Side? Who knows, it's never explained.

It's not like it's achieved when Jedi learn how to become one with the Force, because Qui-Gon returns as a Force Ghost. And the rules aren't even consistent beyond that, because Obi-Wan's cloak remains when he dies, but everyone else's clothes disappear too. So what on Earth is going on?
