12 Tech Advances We Should Have By Now (According To Movies)

7. Bonejacking

Promised By: Freejack Bonejacking is an idea born in the widely panned and brilliantly varied cast - Anthony Hopkins, Emilio Estevez and Mick Jagger, anyone? - 1992 movie. It revolves around the truly horrific idea that not only is time travel possible, but so too is the repossession of a body. Bonejacking is the kidnapping of people about to be killed and transporting them to the future in order to claim their body to prolong the lives of evil men. In some ways it is a genius idea, but it is also a horrifying one too, and according to the movie - which let's face it, you probably haven't ever seen - has been readily available since 2009. And, as with the time travel issue in general, who's to say this is not a practice already in place? Who among us can honestly say that Joan Rivers or Bruce Forsyth aren't frequent bonejackers? How else could such people achieve such longevity despite looking like the Crypt Keeper's elderly relatives, if not for the benefits of bonejacking?
