12 Terrible 2017 Movies "Snubbed" By The Razzies
10. The Layover
If you've not heard of The Layover, don't feel bad, because the William H. Macy-directed (!) romantic comedy had only a limited U.S. theatrical release before being quietly dumped on VOD platforms at the end of the summer.
Rocking a cool 0% on Rotten Tomatoes (with a stunningly bad 1.8/10 average score), this wildly regressive tale of two women (Kate Upton and Alexandra Daddario) fighting over the same man (Matt Barr) is bottom-of-the-barrel slop and nothing more.
Sure, Upton and Daddario bring plenty of sex appeal, but saddled with a script that feels like it quantum leaped into 2017 from the mid-90s, it veers dangerously close to unwatchable at times.
What It Should've Been Nominated For: Worst Picture, Worst Director (William H. Macy), Worst Actor (Matt Barr), Worst Actress (both Kate Upton and Alexandra Daddario), Worst Screen Combo (Matt Barr and either Upton or Daddario) and Worst Screenplay.
