12 Terrible Recent Movies Destined To Become Cult Classics

2. When The Bough Breaks

Why It's Terrible: Another hysterically bad "erotic thriller" starring Morris Chestnut marketed largely towards black audiences, When The Bough Breaks isn't particularly sexy nor is it a competent thriller, with TV-caliber direction, laughably poor dialogue and phoned-in performances making it dead-on-arrival.

None of that stopped the movie making its budget back and then some in its first weekend alone, though.

Why It'll Be A Cult Classic: There's definitely a perverse pleasure to watching these horrible "urban thrillers" as quasi-racist studio executives probably call them, because they're brainlessly entertaining despite possessing all the hallmarks of p*ss-poor, lowest-rung filmmaking made for easy money and nothing else.

The inevitably ludicrous plot twists, attractive casts and over-the-top violence can make these movies enjoyable to watch, even if they still absolutely suck. When The Bough Breaks is no exception, taking audiences for a dumb, wild ride.
