12 Things In Pixar Movies That Make No Sense

3. Toy Story 3 - How Come The Monkey Didn't Spot Buzz?

In Toy Story 3, Woody attempts to break his fellow toys out of the day care centre, Sunnyside, when he learns it is ruled with an iron fist by the malevolent teddy bear, Lotso. As he is prepping his plan, a Chatterphone explains to Woody that escape his impossible. At night, all of the doors are locked and Lotso has his henchmen (henchtoys?) patrolling the hallways constantly.

The Chatterphone explains that the biggest problem with escaping Sunnyside is a Monkey toy that spends all night watching the surveillance footage of each security camera. If any toy escapes, the Monkey will report it instantly.

However, Buzz Lightyear escaped from the playroom earlier in the movie and the Monkey didn't report him. The Monkey is shown to report an escape attempt within a matter of seconds. However, the toys plan out an escape for Buzz for a good five minutes and yet, the Monkey does nothing. The reason why the viewers tend to not notice this plothole is because the Monkey isn't introduced into the story until long after Buzz escaped. Very sneaky, Pixar. Very sneak, indeed.
