9. He Has A Strong Connection To Haiti
When he was twelve years old, Jared Leto lived in Haiti for over a year while his hippie mother Constance Leto worked for a medical charity there. The rock star formed a close bond with the place and later returned to the Caribbean to aid the people who were affected by the earthquake in 2010. Leto took photographs of the ruin and published them in a book along with his own personal memories, before donating all profits from the book to the efforts of rebuilding Haiti.
