12 Things You Learn Rewatching Diamonds Are Forever

11. The Pre-Title Sequence Is A Hot Mess

Diamonds Are Forever's pre-title sequence is, to be blunt, a total mess. Though it begins promisingly with Bond violently interrogating numerous randoms in search of Blofeld (Charles Gray) - and strangling the aforementioned bra-less woman with her own garment - things quickly take a goofy turn for the worse when Bond discovers Blofeld creating body doubles of himself using...mud.

Bond then uses a mouse trap hidden in his pocket (!) to outsmart Blofeld's goons, before strapping who he believes to be Blofeld to a gurney and shoving him into a pool of the mud, drowning him.

Even though Blofeld resurfaces later in the movie, it reduces Bond's quest for vengeance to daft camp, and gets an altogether questionable movie off to a highly dubious start.
