12 Underrated Horror Movie Gems From The 2000s

5. Bad Biology

Even film maker Frank Henenlotter’s own cult fan base probably didn’t see this one coming. The Basket Case director comes out swinging with a so bad, it’s sort of brilliant horror comedy about 2 people with severely mutated genitals finding each other. We are first introduced to Jennifer, a young woman with a severely over-developed, high power reproductive system. We later meet Batz, a man with gigantic, sentient, mutated genitals addicted to various drugs.

Yes, you read all of that correctly.

A film of total, gross out madness, Bad Biology provides a good deal of laughs to balance out its beyond bizarre premise. Full of sight gags and black comedy, its plot lines and visuals go far beyond the boundaries of good taste. With each scene, Henenlotter’s vision grows more heinous and more mind blowing in its commitment to the obscene.

By the time the splatter-heavy, sexual excess of a climax comes oozing onto the screen, one can’t help but feel a little numbed. To feel as if very little after this will ever seem shocking again. A masterfully executed piece of B-movie lunacy, Bad Biology delivers the perversely comedic goods like few others ever have.

John Cunningham hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
