12 Upcoming Comic Book Movie Performances That Will Kick Ass

11. JK Simmons - J Jonah Jameson (Spider-Man 3)

Look it's not at all likely that it's going to be CALLED Spider-Man 3 now, because it's clearly not going to be set in the MCU timeline, but Sony aren't going to just scrap the perfect decision to bring back JK Simmons as Spider-Man's most popular secondary antagonist when they don't really need to.

That means we're going to see a revival of the greatest Spider-Man movie performance of all time. Yes, there have been some strong contenders, but like Samuel L Jackson inhabited the role of Nick Fury perfectly, Simmons might as well have been born to play JJJ. And he didn't even have the benefit of the character being drawn to look like him.

This time around, Jameson is going to be more Breitbart than tabloid, with a fake news media witch hunt for Spidey forming the main thrust of the story (assuming they keep that story in place). And that means an even MORE volatile Jameson and more chance for Simmons to do his thing.
