12 Ways Comic Book Movie Villains SHOULD Have Died

10. A Green Lantern Team-Up (Parallax)

2011's Green Lantern movie went all-out with its villain, pitting the rookie Hal Jordan against the cosmic entity known as Parallax in his first (and only) outing as a member of the Green Lantern Corps. When the powerful creature came to Earth and started killing people by feeding on their fear and life force, Jordan drew it away from Earth and lured it into the Sun by flying so close to it that Parallax was pulled towards it through sheer force of gravity. The fact that Jordan was single-handedly able to beat the thing that is arguably the most potent Green Lantern enemy in comic book history completely undermined its power. It should have been a collective and hard-fought fight between Parallax and the entire Green Lantern Corps; Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Bzzd and so on. By showing that a new Green Lantern could beat such a powerful enemy on his own, it's hard to see where they could possibly have gone with a sequel, had the movie not failed commercially anyway.
