Superhero movies made from Marvel comic books have been at the forefront of pop culture in recent years. Whenever a trailer is released or a new movie release date is announced, the entertainment industry sits up and takes notice. Part of the success of Marvel comic book films can be attributed to great casting, so much so that it's difficult to imagine anyone else other than Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark or Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. But not every casting decision can be a home run. For every actor or actress who was perfectly cast in a Marvel superhero movie, there have been some atrocious casting blunders that make you wonder 'how could they possibly thing X could portray X?'. Here are twelve actors who were horribly miscast in some of Marvel's biggest comic book films. Just a reminder, this list covers every Marvel superhero film, so expect to see entries from the X-Men and Spider-Man movies, as well as movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
