13 Actors Who Could Be The Breakout Stars Of 2019

13. Jessica Rothe

Mainstream audiences first became aware of Jessica Rothe when she starred in last year's horror hit Happy Death Day, with her charming performance anchoring an otherwise spotty screenplay.

It seemed like Rothe was destined to have a major Hollywood coming-out party in 2018, but she actually had a pretty quiet year, starring in a few straight-to-VOD and low-key theatrical releases and not much else.

But 2019 will hopefully see the actress capitalising on that previous momentum, as she returns to star in horror sequel Happy Death Day 2U.

Though Rothe in fairness doesn't have any other projects pencilled in for 2019 so far, if she once again brings a charm offensive to the table, don't be surprised if the follow-up outgrosses its predecessor, proving her clear commercial viability in the process.

Basically, don't be surprised if Rothe ends up attached to a major blockbuster franchise before 2019 is over.
