And finally, we have a movie that's consistently breaking the hearts of its fans, because Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter seem consistently optimistic about Bill and Ted 3 eventually happening, but more than 25 years after Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, there's still little encouraging forward movement.

Though the script is done, co-writer Ed Solomon confirmed at the start of 2018 that financing is the key issue: the original movies not getting heavy worldwide distribution and being only modest box office hits has made studios reluctant to cough up the cash.

Even with Steven Soderbergh reportedly aboard to produce and a premise that apparently embraces Reeves and Winter's ageing, that tricky red tape will probably keep this one from ever starting shooting, sadly.
