The Plot: Mae Holland (Emma Watson) is a young employee in the tech sector who takes a job at a powerful web firm, The Circle, where she soon comes to discover that its founder, Eamon Bailey (Tom Hanks), desires the most intrusive access to his customers' lives.

Why It's Going To Be Awesome: The Circle is adapted from David Eggers' acclaimed novel for one, it's got a magnificent cast (also including John Boyega, Karen Gillan, Ellar Coltrane, Patton Oswalt and Bill Paxton in his final role), and it's helmed by one of the most talented young directors working today, James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now, The End of the Tour).

Plus, the novel's commentary about privacy and surveillance couldn't feel more relevant in 2017, and should provide some welcome food-for-thought among all the usual summer bombast.
