13 Awesome Summer Movies You Probably Missed

6. Imperium

The Plot: FBI agent Nate Foster (Daniel Radcliffe) goes undercover with a white supremacist group in order to dismantle a bomb plot from the inside.

Why It's Awesome: This role is quite a stretch for the former Harry Potter star, and while it's easy to see him as a gimmicky fit for something like this, he more than rises to the occasion, turning in yet another nuanced performance that sees him grow considerably as an actor.

Other merits considered, Imperium is a tense, gripping thriller with some difficult moral questions for both Radcliffe's character and the audience to consider.

It arguably doesn't all add up to the most satisfying ending, but for the most part, this is one of the year's most gripping thrillers, and yet regrettably didn't even get a decent theatrical release in most markets.
