13 Awful Movie Sequel Titles We Wish Were Scrapped
9. Halloween H20: 20 Years Later
Now we're back to the horror genre again, with the seventh (and penultimate) entry into the original Halloween franchise, titled Halloween H20: 20 Years Later. The inherent problem with the title is that nobody knows exactly how to pronounce it: most people have simply resorted to calling it "Halloween H-2-0", which of course instantly makes everyone think more of water than a psychopathic serial killer. In fact, the title is actually supposed to be read as "Halloween H-twenty", in reference to the movie taking place 20 years after the events of the first two movies. Even if you're aware of that, though, it's an incredibly clunky, awkward title that had the complete opposite of its desired effect, even if the movie was still the highest-grossing film of the original franchise. Still, with a title this terrible, they got pretty damn lucky. Halloween 7: 20 Years Later or even just Halloween: 20 Years Later would have both been generic but much more agreeable titles.
