13 Awkward Moments That Must Have Happened After The End Of Famous Movies
3. Bonnie Grows Up And Gives Away The Toys - Toy Story 3
The Actual Ending: After Up, Pixar seemed to be trying to one up itself on the pulling tears from adults stakes, to the extent that Toy Story 3 has two contending moments within ten minutes of each other. Just after we've seen the gang accept their fiery fate at the dump (followed by a tone destroying resolution) we're treated to Andy giving away all his old toys (emotionally lessened when you remember he hadn't cared about them in years). Still, it's a happy ending with Woody and co. saved from the attic.
The Awkward Moment: For now. One of my major faults with Toy Story 3's ending is that there's no resolution. The first had Woody accept Buzz, the second had Woody accept that Andy would grow up (well that went well), but the third has him just prolonging the inevitable. In a few years Bonnie will grow out of the toys (probably a lot quicker than Andy given most of them are boy oriented) and everyone will be back where they started.
The only way to live forever as a toy is in a museum, as shown in Toy Story 2, so eventually Woody'll have to accept the end.
