4. Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave
The loveable stop-animated duo Wallace & Gromit appear so high on this list because they simply do have one of the best motorbike chases in film. The side-car chase in the 1995 film A Close Shave is a fast-paced, hilarious and amazing spectacle, as the window-cleaning man and dog chase a van full of sheep. The classic motorbike chase was the invention of British studio Aardman, and the scene features a range of memorable moments. Gromit using telegraph wires to swing the sidecar 360 degrees through the air; the sheep standing on top of one another in formation through a tunnel; and of course the drop off the cliff are all fantastic pieces of animation, if not cinema overall. The sidecar has the distinction of turning into an aeroplane, and Gromits porridge-gun-firing at the sheep van is just simply cracking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dy9QeosTh7w
