2. Tomorrow Never Dies
Yes, Pierce Brosnan makes this list for a second time, and James Bond for a third, but all for good reason. The motorbike chase in Tomorrow Never Dies is one of the best in film. The 1997 film sees 007 in Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam, as he tries to evade the antagonists with Chinese Bond girl Wai Lin (played by Michelle Yeoh). Taking a BMW 1200 motorcycle, he sets off with Wai Lin straddling him in the saddle, as the two are handcuffed together. The chase sees Bond ride the powerful BMW through the alleys and up on to the rooftops of the city. The climax of the chase features Bond perform a jump from one rooftop to another, flying the motorbike over the spinning rotors of a hovering helicopter below. Stunt rider Jean-Pierre Goy actually performed the breath-taking jump, above spinning rotors, though the helicopter was 'added' in post-production. Well of course it was Pierce Brosnan may be a formidable bloke, but not even his handsome visage could survive being chucked at deadly whirring baldes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WS8FF0TRfw
