13 Best Motorbike Chases In Film

6. Tron

Tron Bikes If you€™ve read my 5 Deeper Ways of Looking at Tron article, then you€™ll understand my fascination with this sci-fi classic. The 1982 film stars Jeff Bridges in a computer world, and features some incredible graphics from the very early days of computer animation. One of the most iconic features of the film are the Light Cycles. These computer animated motorbikes are sleek and fast, moving at right angles on grids in high-speed battle sequences. They leave in their wake a wall of light, which will destroy or €œderezz€ any opponent who crashes into it. In Tron, we see a Light Cycle battle between the three protagonists and three antagonists, as the brightly coloured motorbikes duel in the computer world. The 2010 sequel, Tron: Legacy, features updated Light Cycles in a sleeker, high-tech computer world. The teaser for the film featured Light Cycles as the main selling point, and debuted at the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con to a delighted audience. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFxMhlNC3ss

I like writing about films and hope you like reading about them too. And watching them, of course.
