13 Best Scenes From 2015's Summer Blockbusters

Because who doesn't love a Thomas the Tank Engine cameo?

This year's summer of movies has been something of a mixed bag for sure: some highly-anticipated efforts fell by the wayside, others were decent but didn't try hard enough, and of course, some wildly overshot expectations to end up among the best films of the year. That said, even disappointing or underwhelming movies have in some cases served up some of the most entertaining, brutal and hilarious individual scenes from 2015's summer movie season, be it unexpectedly comedy asides, outrageous cameos, insane action sequences and probably the most revealing sex scene to ever feature a WWE talent. These scenes define not only their movies but 2015's summer as a whole, showing just how absurdly fun the Hollywood blockbuster can be in the right hands...

13. Lowery Gets Rejected - Jurassic World

As all hell breaks loose on the park, Jurassic World is being evacuated, but someone in the tech department has to stay behind, so Jurassic World fanboy Lowery Cruthers (Jake Johnson) appoints the role to himself. As the musical score swells and Lowery goes in for his big romantic moment with Vivian (Lauren Lapkus), she recoils and the music stops dead. She tells him she has a boyfriend, much to Lowery's surprise as he says that she's never really talked about him, and she responds, "Yeah, I'm at work." Though Jurassic World concedes to a lot of blockbuster cliches, it was hilarious to see this one subverted in such flippant fashion. The comic timing and acting combined to make this the most hysterically entertaining moment in the entire movie.
