The Pitch: A standalone Hulk movie, possibly based on the comic book Planet Hulk, which piggy-backs off the big green guy's unexpected MVP status in The Avengers, renewing his popularity entirely. What Happened?: Marvel, to their credit, have always been pretty wary of delving into yet another Hulk film, what with the middling success of both previous Eric Bana and Edward Norton-starring Hulk films. Ironically enough, given how well he was received in The Avengers, this is probably the best time to strike, yet at the same time, Marvel seems to appreciate that perhaps he's a character best used as a "secret weapon" of sorts in small doses. Even though Marvel's own staff have previously intimated that a Hulk movie was on the cards to release in 2015, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has remained steadfast that the idea isn't something fans should expect to see anytime soon. It's all about doling out small but brilliant bursts of The Hulk, and that's exactly how it should be. As interesting and different as a Planet Hulk movie in particular could be, history has proven that he's just not a character who lends himself particularly well to his own film. Which ridiculous 2015 movies would have most easily ruined the year for you? Or are there any here you'd still be curious to see? Shout it out in the comments!
